Light Pipe This fiber optic ring serves two essential functions. 1- ensures proper light transmission from the LEDs that serve as the IR source and low-battery indicators visible in the eyepiece field of view. 2- guarantees that the image intensifier tube is correctly spaced & secured within the night vision housing maintaining its exact focal relationship with both the objective & eyepiece lens assemblies.
